Will I get a medicare Rebate?
You will recieve a medicare rebate of approx $60 if you have a ‘Care Plan’ created by your Doctor. This is more formally known as a GP Management Plan and allows up to 5 x medicare rebates per year.
Some chronic health conditions - such as Diabetes, require the support of specific health professionals. Your Doctor will create a plan with you to involve these professionals in your care and allow you to recieve a medicare rebate for a specified number of visits. You can visit more times than specified on the care plan however you will not receive a medicare rebate for those extra visits.
